ARAM AVAGI KHACHATRYAN

was born in 1963, in Yerevan. In 1985 he has graduated the faculty of History and Law of Pedagogical University after Kh.Abovyan. In 1991 he has completed the postgraduate studies in Histroy in the same University. Ph.D. in History.

Since 1991 Mr. Khachatryan was pro-rector of Yerevan Hrachia Acharian University. In August 2010 he become rector of the same University.






The university bares the name of a well-known scientist who has made a meaningful contribution to the culture of so many nations in the world. He has paid special attention to the development of Iranian Studies around the world. And it comes naturally that the university actively cooperates with one of the leading eastern universities, mainly AZAD, thus strengthening friendly ties between the two nations – Armenia and Iran.
